When Do Our Wadi Rum Balloon Flights Take off?
The prevailing weather conditions in the local area mean that the optimal time to start our Wadi Rum Balloon flights is very early morning. While it’s still dark. This gives you the unique opportunity of seeing the sunrise from above.
Due to safety considerations, we only take flight once a day. Take off times are dependent on the season, localised conditions and operating proceedures. That means we can’t give you an exact time here because we don’t know when you’re reading this.
What we can promise is that once you book one of our Wadi Rum Balloon flights, we will keep you updated every step of the way. Of course, we’ll give plenty of advance warning so that you can prepare accordingly.
That being said, we can confirm that you will be required to get up really, really early to take part in this experience. We don’t mind if you have a little nap in the car on the way to the flight site.

As we only have one flight a day, places are limited and can sell out quickly during the busy season. That’s why we recommend that you book in advance, to avoid disappointment.
Our Wadi Rum Hot Air Balloon Experience is suitable for everyone; friends, family, independent travellers and groups. That, is unless you’re under 7 years old. We’re sorry that we can’t take you onboard for safety reasons.

Important Operational Details
· Flight Schedule: Flights are only available in the morning.
· Meeting Time: You will be required to meet our team one hour before sunrise. The exact time will be confirmed the day before your flight.
· Meeting Location: The precise meeting point is determined based on the location of your accommodation (hotel/camp) the night before the flight. This will be confirmed during your booking.
· Weather Dependency: All flights are subject to weather conditions. For safety reasons, the pilot will make the final decision on whether the flight can proceed. In case of cancellation due to weather, you will typically be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

This means that if the conditions on the day are not favourable, we will regrettably have to cancel the flight. In this unfortunate circumstance, we’re happy to move your flight to another day, or issue you with a complete refund if the change in itinerary doesn’t fit in with your plans.
If conditions are good and you can take flight with us, we will brief you on your role in the safety and success of a Wadi Rum hot air balloon flight. We ask that you follow all the instructions from our pilot and crew, both on the ground and in the air.
